Hereβs exactly what we spent on our 11-day Vietnam trip as a couple, covering Hanoi β Sapa β Ninh Binh β Da Nang & Hoi An β Phu Quoc β Ho Chi Minh City.
We didnβt travel ultra-budget β we stayed at comfortable properties, did plenty of paid activities and travelled across the country.
π° TOTAL SPENT: ~βΉ2.1 LAKH FOR 2 PEOPLE
π« Approx. βΉ1.05 lakh per person
Shopping is NOT included.
π‘ Could we have done it cheaper? YES!
We made a few last-minute booking mistakes that increased our expenses. I've mentioned them below so you don't make the same ones.
Flights: βΉ67,714
Intercity sleeper buses: βΉ17,694
We used overnight sleeper buses for several long-distance journeys, which helped us save both daytime travel hours and some accommodation costs.
This includes all the stays we paid for during the trip, including our night inside Ba Na Hills.
π‘ BOOK EARLY:
I'd recommend booking important stays around 2 months in advance, especially Ba Na Hills, Da Nang and Phu Quoc. Prices and availability changed considerably as our dates got closer.
This was one category where we didn't hold back.
Our trip included experiences such as Trang An boating, Rong May Glass Bridge/adventure activities, Ba Na Hills, Alpine Coaster, Hoi An basket boat, Phu Quoc attractions, Hon Thom/Aquatopia and more.
So if activities aren't your priority, this is one of the easiest categories to reduce.
